It’s Flag Day (and my birthday!)
Flag Day commemorates the adoption of the Betsy Ross flag design. It was much later in life that I realized that the flags all over town were not specifically in recognition of my birthday.

I imagine that you knew more about Flag Day than the average kid. I’m a reasonably intelligent guy, but I was never the top student in the class. I’m sure that many of my elementary teachers were surprised when I doled out knowledge about Pearl Harbor (my birthday).
Sharing a birthday on a special day adds to the fun!
Oh, congratulations on your birthday. It’s funny how birthdays seem less important the older we get. I have to admit that sometimes I have to do a math problem to remember how old I am. 🤣
